How to update and regenerate meeting prep

Last updated: March 31, 2026

Meeting prep is automatically generated the night before your scheduled meetings, but you can also generate it manually or update it with additional information.

Updating Meeting Prep Through Chat

You can now update meeting prep directly from within the AI agent chat. Simply ask the agent to update your meeting prep with specific information, and it will make the changes for you.

Manual Regeneration

To manually regenerate meeting prep:

  1. Open your meeting page

  2. Click the three-dot menu (⋯) next to the "Meeting Prep" title

  3. Select "Regenerate"

  4. Wait about a minute and refresh the page to see updates

What Information Does Meeting Prep Use?

Meeting prep has access to:

  • Knowledge base content

  • Web search results

  • Latest activity in accounts associated with the meeting

  • Account data including memo fields and custom fields

Note: Meeting prep does not have direct access to chat thread information. However, if the chat updates account fields (like memo or custom fields), those updates will be included when you regenerate the meeting prep.

Adding Custom Instructions

To include your meeting prep template or specific instructions:

  1. Go to Settings → Knowledge

  2. Create a new knowledge entry with your meeting prep template

  3. Include specific instructions for how you want meeting prep structured

  4. Regenerate your meeting prep to apply the new knowledge

Troubleshooting

If meeting prep isn't generating or updating properly:

  • Try clicking the regenerate button in the three-dot menu

  • Wait a full minute before refreshing the page

  • Check that any account information you want included has been saved to account fields (memo, custom fields, etc.)

  • Ensure your knowledge base entries are properly formatted with clear instructions

If you're still experiencing issues after trying these steps, the meeting prep feature may be experiencing technical difficulties that require vendor support.
