Giving Lightfield context about your business

Last updated: April 30, 2026

Giving Lightfield context about your business ensures your whole team gets consistent, personalized insights and messaging across every customer interaction.

When you share details such as your product offering, target customers, and messaging style, Lightfield uses that knowledge to shape summaries, follow-ups, and insights that mirror your company’s tone and priorities.

This guide will help you:

  • Add company knowledge to give Lightfield the right context

  • Understand how that context improves recommendations and actions

  • Keep your information up to date as your business evolves

Add company knowledge

Go to Settings → Knowledge to add company knowledge and start giving Lightfield context about your business.

Here are examples of what you can include:

  • Company overview: what your business does, who you sell to, and your value proposition

  • Products or services: short summaries of what you offer

  • ICP: industries, company sizes, or roles you typically target

  • Competitors and differentiators: how you stand out

  • Pricing or tiers: optional, for more precise follow-ups

  • Templates: email templates, or questions and topics you want surfaced in meeting prep and summaries

Think of this as your company’s internal source of truth. Information here helps Lightfield act with the same context your team already knows and keeps messaging and insights consistent across the entire workspace.

How Lightfield uses your business context

Once saved, this knowledge becomes part of how Lightfield reasons about your accounts, meetings, and outreach.

It’s automatically injected into:

  • Meeting prep and summaries - contextually aware of your product and customer type

  • Chat responses and follow-ups - phrased in your tone and aligned with your ICP

  • Agent analyses - e.g., opportunity insights, competitive mentions, or account research

Internal data (emails, meetings, notes) always takes precedence over general context. Lightfield blends both to provide accurate, relevant responses.

Keep your context up to date

As your company grows, update this information anytime under Settings → Knowledge.

Changes apply instantly across all Lightfield features - meeting summaries, follow-ups, and AI recommendations, and to everyone in your workspace.

Keeping your knowledge current ensures Lightfield continues to act and communicate in line with your latest positioning.

Common Questions

Who can edit Knowledge?

Only workspace Admins can edit or delete entries in Knowledge. All users can reference it in chat, summaries, and analyses.

Does this information stay private?

Yes. Knowledge entries are stored securely in your workspace and never shared outside your team.

Can I upload documents or decks?

Not yet. For now, copy key excerpts from internal docs into Knowledge fields. File uploads are coming soon.

How does this differ from custom fields in the data model?

Knowledge trains Lightfield’s understanding globally, while data-model fields define structured attributes for each account or contact.
