6.4 Set task reminders and due dates
Set a due date via the agent
"Create a task to call Anthony tomorrow at 9am"
"Remind me to follow up with Bailey in 3 days"
"Add a task due next Friday to send the Cavendish proposal"
Lightfield interprets relative dates like "tomorrow", "next week", and "in 3 days" in your local timezone.
Set a reminder
"Create a task to review the 8flow proposal — due Monday, remind me Friday afternoon"
Reminders trigger a notification at the specified time so you don't miss the task even if you're not checking your inbox.
Edit due dates and reminders
Open the task → click the Due date or Remind at field → select a new date. Or via the agent:
"Move the due date on the Acme follow-up task to Thursday"
"Remove the reminder on the Bailey task"
Not every task needs a due date. Tasks without one remain open in your inbox under the account they're linked to.
6.5 Can I assign tasks to teammates?
Yes. You can assign tasks to any workspace member.
Via the agent
"Create a task for Matt: send the demo recording to Cavendish — due tomorrow"
"Assign the 'clean up Thoughtium instance' task to Austin"
Via the UI
When creating or editing a task, change the Assignee field to any workspace member.
What the assignee sees
Assigned tasks appear in the teammate's task inbox on their home page, and they receive a notification.
Visibility
Admins can see all tasks assigned to any team member
Members see their own assigned tasks plus tasks linked to accounts they have access to
Best practice
When handing off a deal, create a summary note and a task for the new owner together:
"Create a task for Henri: schedule an intro call with Anthony at Thoughtium — I've already sent him a proposal"
