How to request a refund for accidental subscription charges

Last updated: March 13, 2026

If you were charged for a Lightfield subscription that you didn't intend to purchase, we understand that this can happen and we're happy to help. Common scenarios include:

  • Forgetting to cancel before your trial period ended

  • Not realizing your trial would automatically convert to a paid subscription

  • Accidentally subscribing without intending to

  • Being unable to access the app to cancel in time

How to request a refund

To request a refund for an unwanted subscription charge:

  1. Email our support team at support@lightfield.app

  2. Include "Refund Request" or similar in your subject line

  3. Briefly explain your situation (e.g., "I forgot to cancel before my trial ended")

  4. Include the email address associated with your account

Our support team will process your refund request promptly. In most cases, we're able to issue refunds for accidental charges, especially when customers reach out shortly after being charged.

Refund processing time

Once we approve and process your refund:

  • You should see the refund reflected on your statement within 5-10 business days

  • The exact timing depends on your card issuer

  • We'll send you a confirmation email once the refund has been processed

Subscription cancellation

When we process your refund, we'll also ensure your subscription is cancelled so you won't be charged again in the future. If you decide to try Lightfield again later, you can always sign up for a new trial.
